2024 has not been very kind to us up to now – the first two meetings of the year have had to be cancelled, the first due to rain, the second due to gale force winds.

Going forward, next Monday will see the first of the Open Meetings. Meetings 2 and 4 will focus on a long endurance race for BC points, while the others will have an Omnium format. I shall be compiling lOpen meeting standings, and prizes will be awarded based on best four results. Will I have enough entrants to run adult A and B leagues? Fingers crossed. For standard track league meetings we shall be having league tables, so keep an eye on the standings on the website. For the youngest riders, there will be spot prizes each week – not necessarily for the rider that wins everything.

Hoping to see riders in large numbers this year, be it riders new to racing, riders that have had a break from track league, or returning riders – please support us, or track racing at Reading might not survive.
